Welcome from the CEO

I am delighted to welcome Croda and Victrex as the newest members to join our network since March.

Following the membership fee holiday we deployed in the face of last year’s challenges, and feedback from our members, we have reviewed our membership offering and recently launched a new, simplified membership model to better serve our members’ needs. The full information around what to expect is included below.

There have been some notable wins for the IBioIC network, with Dyneval becoming the latest business to win the IBioIC sponsored ScottishEDGE Industrial Biotechnology award, scooping the £100,00 prize in the EDGE17 Round for their innovative technology developed in partnership with Firefinch. We also announced the sponsorship of a new RSE Enterprise Fellow, Dr Stuart Hannah of Microplate DX, to address the issue of antimicrobial resistance.

We will be hosting our member social on 17 June, I do hope you will join us for an afternoon of networking, exciting breakout discussions, alongside updates from across the network, including key policy officials at Scottish Government. There are still spaces available, please email Lorna Watt at lorna.watt@ibioic.com to secure your space.

Best wishes,

Mark

Below are some of the highlights from the last quarter including the launch of our new membership model, an update from the IBioIC-led Bioeconomy Cluster Builder programme, and a review of the Scotland Policy Conference on Climate Change policy where Technical Director Ian Archer joined the keynote seminar.
