Supporting our members
Despite the ups and downs of 2021, we ended the year with a new record membership of 134 – up 16 members from the previous year. Our members make an incredibly important contribution to our industrial biotechnology community, and we are delighted to be connecting with so many more of you.
Over the past few years, it’s been very clear that the face of industrial biotechnology has been changing, with many more businesses across multiple sectors adopting bio-based innovations. The IBioIC family now embraces biorenewables, biopharma, chemicals, engineering, food and drink, materials and textiles, cosmetics and personal care, marine, and even construction!
As a team we asked ourselves how we could better support this diversity. In response, we are adopting an account management system, in which each of our senior business managers has responsibility for members in a sector. So, you now have a dedicated senior business manager to speak to if you need support. If you have not already met your manager, they will be in touch over the coming months. Please do take time to meet for a chat as it’s a great way to find out more about the services, events, funding and advice IBioIC offers. Your time also helps us gain insight into the challenges and opportunities each sector faces and how we can better intervene and support.
We hope this new approach offers you many benefits and will be delighted to have any feedback.
