IBioIC welcomes new and returning students as new year begins

With the new academic year comes a new group of students, and we have been delighted to award 30 HND, 27 MSc and 64 PhD student places over recent weeks. Courses are in the process of starting, and of course these will remain largely online with a blended learning approach where feasible with some activities on campuses and in labs.

MSc inductions took place during the week of 13 September 2021 and planning is well underway to induct our new PhD students in October.

Like everything else, MSc placements have been affected by Covid restrictions. Some placements which were intended to take place in labs had to be revised and pivoted to desk-based, however, the majority of placements have been able to go ahead in some form.
